Photographing nature and the urban environment Hawkins strives to capture a sense of place. Moving beyond the limitations of a single frame her most recent work utilizes layering techniques in Photoshop to create composite images. By blending her subjects she works with colors, shapes, forms and textures to share the essence of her experiences.
