Bio

Hawkins Biggins wants to live in a world where everyone has time to see and appreciate the beauty around them.

She is a visual being and has been absorbed in framing her subjects since high school. A graduate of Boston’s New England School of Photography, Hawkins was delighted to return home to practice the art and business of commercial photography on Oahu.

Architectural photography is her passion. Buildings come alive as she composes images of the spaces, materials and textures. Following the light as it illuminates her subjects she relishes in capturing both exterior and interior spaces. Hawkins works with architects, builders and designers to create images that highlight their vision.

When she is not behind a lens, you can find her playing board games with her son, building sand castles, jumping into the ocean or lacing up her hiking boots to commune with nature and get muddy along the trail.

Hawkins has created powerful images for her clients for over eight years, including:

Hawkins Biggins continues her series of architectural photographic work of Chinatown in downtown Honolulu. She focuses the camera’s lens on the historical architecture that makes Chinatown a unique and distinct visual statement of Hawaii’s past and changing present. The photographs are abstract segments of the playfulness of the texture, color, light and form; which emphasize the influence of the east and west in Honolulu.  Hawkins grew up in Honolulu and recently moved back, giving her a fresh eye and new appreciation for the surrounding environment.
